1. Renew your energy: Feel a sense of renewal in the green spaces that have quickly returned to Sutton Place thanks to the warmer temps and rain. The vivid light and dark hues of green are a welcome escape. Not only in the several parks but also that you see as you walk throughout the neighborhood.

2. Open your world with art: While you take in one of this month’s must-see new exhibitions, The Encounter: Barbara Chase-Riboud/Alberto Giacometti at the MoMA on May 5th (through October 9th). The exhibition explores the relationship between two sculptors who met while in Paris and their shared practice of looking to the past to reimagine their artwork of the human form in the present.

Afterward, check out the  TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) Art Fair at the historic Armory from May 12-16th.  The art show that’s known for its quality brings together 91 modern and contemporary art and design dealers for you to enjoy. Exhibitors include everyone from Gagosian and David Zwirner to Karma.

If you're looking for a new dining experience, chill at Mischa, the new restaurant from Alex Stupak within The Hugh.  Stupka worked with Wylie Dufresne at wd~50 and Alinea as a pastry chef for 11 years before opening Empellón at 510 Madison Avenue. The cozy, cool, and comfortable American tavern inspired by his 1980s childhood overlooks the food hall.  The diverse menu that references Stupak’s Ukranian roots includes everything from black hummus and a tray of 7 vegetables for you to share and enjoy throughout the meal to a mushroom patty melt and Roumanian steak.
